I actually liked the weather today more than the other days I considered "winter"...then again, what do I know? Haven't lived here long enough to keep pace with the weather.
I lived here for like 2 years...or somewhere around that, but how do you get used to a weather like this when you lived in an extremely hot climate? I lives in the usa. Texas to be exact. Where the hottest day was the day an egg fried on the sidewalk. I am so not kidding! It fried on the side walk...
"Where the hottest day was the day an egg fried on the sidewalk."
Wow, I can only imagine. I come from a very hot place myself but I've never really gotten a chance to live there since we moved to Canada. A close friend of mine used to live in Texas as well though. Austin and Houston. I heard it was nice but very polluted. But then again, who am I to say?
Oh I lived a few hours from Austin..and a couple of hours from Houston, I lived in Dallas.
It's not really poluted...Houston maybe after the NASA crash...But otherwise Texas is the beautiful country where all the words ending in -ist orginate :D....racist, sexist, feminist, etc etc. :D
Well, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Greenville Avenue is at least somewhere in Texas... I think... Ok, now I'm doubting myself... Greenville Avenue.... yeah, it’s in Texas. =) Now, is it in Dallas? That, we will have to check up. The internet is a very prominent source.
The good thing is I will ask my "connections" in Texas about this...this Greenville Ave you speak of :D...or the internet which btw I am just about to do...one sec...brb...
oookay...I am back...good news and bad ones...lets start with the good: "Greenville Avenue Between Mockingbird Lane & Ross Avenue Dallas, TX 75206" :S!!!
As for the bad ones...yup, I never heard of it, let alone knew it existed. Better yet I never heard of a Mockingbird Lane...but let's leave that for a different day shall we. Now I found my self a reason for NOT knowing about this place: "Greenville Avenue is one of the oldest entertainment areas in Dallas and is home to many boutique and eclectic shops as well as live entertainment clubs , great bars and restaurants"
A hijabi in a bar. That’s kind of comic. Well, only for a split-second or so. Afterwards it’s only a whole bunch of "istakhfar Allah". The only reason I say it would be slightly funny is because it's just so paradoxical. Other than that, I see no humor in this subject. So, you do have a respectable reason for why you haven’t even heard of such place. See, I wouldn’t have known either because I never actually got specifically into the topic. The conversation kind of went like... “(Lots of talking) oh and Greenville Avenue’s pretty cool (lots more talking)”
So really, the only thing that registered in my mind was Greenville Ave. So I guess the weight’s equal. No loss, no victory.
Haha...oh well atleast the mystery of Greenville Ave has been solved! Tune in next time folks!
P.S. Hijabi's in bars and night clubs are actually quite sad. I don't know how they can even bring themselves to go as low as entering such places...funny there are quite a few stories about that...better yet, imagine hijabi's gambling in vegas...it's true!
It's dreadfully sad. Pathetic too. Wallah just let them wait till il akhraa... let's see where gambling gets them... (la hawla wa la kowata illa billah)
Some guys here come around tellin stories how they found a hijabi at a bar or club and how they kicked them out...I don't understand where they get off its ok for THEM to go and chill there etc etc.
